- Unified Communication: Works with Unified Communication (Advanced Messaging) feature from all major VoIP platform, such as Avaya IP Office, Cisco Unity Connect, Mitel NuPoint: Any messages read in Outlook will be marked as read in your voicemail system (and turn off Messaging Waiting Light on your phone). Any messages deleted in Outlook will be deleted in your voicemail system.
- Single Email: Transcribed text is directly inserted into the voicemail email. No extra email to manage.

- Exchange Web Service (EWS): Nexiwave communicates with Exchange/O365 via Microsoft Exchange Web Service.
- Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.2: Nexiwave communicates with Exchange/O365 using secure TLSv1.2 protocol.
Data Flow:
- Upon startup, Nexiwave registers this email filter below with Exchange (or Office365):
- Email subject matches certain text pattern.
For example, for Mitel NuPoint environment, the match pattern will be: Voice mesasge from * [nupointmessageid *]. - Email with audio attachment
- When an voicemail email matching this filter arrives:
- Exchange (or Office365) notifies Nexiwave of the voicemail email (via EWS/TLS).
- Nexiwave fully automated system receives the audio attachment and transcribes into text.
- Nexiwave replaces the voicemail email with the transcribed version (via EWS/TLS).
